I’m honored that you’re visiting and reading my little blog, so here's a little about me.

My name is Linda McClain. I grew up in Indiana and have lived in Texas (just outside Austin) now for over 25 years. My Tom and I enjoy watching Ben and Caitlin grow into incredible adults and have a lot of fun with them and our dogs, Mailey and Pillow. My day job as a nursing home surveyor keeps me away from my crafting more than I’d like, but it also gives me the opportunity to meet and help amazing people across Central Texas.

One of my favorite things in the world is helping others seize their art (carpe artem). I’m in heaven when I get to offer in-home workshops and teach classes at charitable crops, community centers and for senior citizens.

I do paper craft for selfish reasons – it keeps me sane. So it’s an extra bonus when people actually like what I make. As a scrapbooker I was on the charter design team for a local scrapbook store and am an alumni of Scrapbook Design University and Creative Keepsakes University. I’ve been honored to be published in e-magazine, and featured on, and Lori Lynn’s gallery.

The movie producer Cecil B. DeMille once said “Creativity is a drug I cannot live without.” (Being an RN who stamps, wouldn’t you know I’d love a quote about both drugs and creativity?) I’ve finally discovered that you don’t need to be an artist or “be” creative, you just need to enjoy the process of creating and giving. I love being part of a company and community that inspires my creativity. If you would like more information about Stampin’ Up!’s products and opportunities, please contact me.

I often have to explain the title, “Catered Crops” (especially to people who don’t scrapbook). I hope to "cater" this blog to your design needs and "crop" because, well, a scrapbooking crop is nothing more than friends who gather to feed each others’ design mojo. I suspect I’ll be more inspired by you than you by me . . . I’m really honored you’re here.
