What are you going to do with me? I mean, you don't hear from me for almost two weeks, and then you hear from me twice in one day. I guess I just like to keep you guessing.
So much great gossip - I don't know where to start. How about with a card.
Butterfly Berry Bliss
Yes, I love myself, (as the blogger Jan Tink would say - she's such a hoot), because I freakin' love this card and I came up with it my very own self. It uses the new Merci stamp set, FREE through Sale-a-Bration.
Here's the straight shimmy on it - I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder with Shimmery White for the background, along with Berry Bliss designer paper. The little crumpled piece is Purely Pomegranate run through the crimper tool. I did something I've wanted to try for a long time - I stamped the butterfly image on the designer paper, and then cut it out and glued it to the image stamped on the whisper white. (You may have to enlarge the picture to see this.) The card base and layers are Pretty in Pink cardstock. But, what really makes this card so gorgeous (yes, I love myself) is the detail glitter. That burgundy piece framing the butterfly is Purely Pomegranate cardstock embellished with the new stamping glitter. The effect in person is stunning. (Yes, I love myself, did I tell you that?) A flat-back pearl from the Pretties kit and 3/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon and, well, you can see it's just stinkin' gorgeous.

LMac Stampin' Up! Website is now up and running (here). Well, okay, I've always had a website, but, quite honestly, I wasn't that impressed with the forum Stampin' Up! gave us. But . . . they just revamped it - seriously! and, it's worth a visit or two. I'm still loading some projects, but, you, my friendly readers, can do all kinds of cool things from this site. Now, it doesn't let me ramble on aimlessly like my blog, so it won't replace Catered Crop, but it's just another great way for us to stay in touch.
Last piece of gossip. For those of you tracking the on-going saga of my weight loss - I've lost up to 35 pounds now - woo hoo. Biggest Loser eat your heart out.
