A Witch-mobile Favor Bag

Here's the last of our Batty for You Halloween ensemble. This one comes with a little help from crafting wizard, Martha Stewart. I was too lazy to go find twigs, so I bought her broom favor bags with my 40% Michaels coupon. Guess what, the package advertises that it makes 6 goody bags, but there are materials to make 12. I just added another tag from our Batty for You stamp set, 1-5/8" and 1-1/4" circle punches, our circle scallop punch; Whisper White, Kiwi Kiss and Pumpkin Pie cardstock; black hemp and some miscellaneous ribbon.

 

Martha Stewart also put a video on her website showing how to make these treat bags with brown sandwich bags, a craft knife, scissors, wax thread, and an apple tree limb. You can view her making them with country music icon Faith Hill, here.

You might be able to speed up the process, too, using a shredder - depending on the type you have. A friend of mine (whaz-up Pam) said she made them using our cellophane bags as the inside bag and added raffia - ooo, I like that idea. And, finally, if you want to see yet another version, check out page 29 of our Stampin' Up! Totally Batty

Two vampire bats are going for their midnight feed.
After an hour or so, one bat gets tired of looking and goes home with no blood.
The other bat comes home with blood dripping from its mouth.
The first bat says enviously, "Where did you get all that blood from?"
The second bat replies, "Follow me. I`ll show you."

After awhile the second bat leads them to a cave.
He says, "You see that wall over there?"
The hungry bat excitedly says, "Yes!"
Other bat says, "I didn't."

Yeah, that's a pretty bad joke. You'll like this better.

 

It's a card using the joy-fold pattern from Beate's tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers. It's very easy when you have a package of coordinating pattern paper. It opens like this.

Once again, the recipe is just our Ghostly Greetings paper. I love how the new catalog tells you right under the sample images of the paper what the coordinating colors are for each package of paper. It made it easy to match up the paper with Pumpkin Pin, Basic Grey and Black cardstock. And, of course, that's the Batty for You stamp set, a few ribbon remnants and some googly eyes.

Okay, one more really batty joke.

Q: What's the worst thing that can happen to a bat while it sleeps?
A: Diarrhea!
